Budget 2024: Today, the last budget of the second term of Modi government was presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. In which many announcements were made, an attempt has been made to take care of everyone in this budget. There has also been a lot of focus on the agriculture sector in the budget. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that a comprehensive program will be made for dairy farmers.
While presenting the budget, the Finance Minister said that India is the largest milk producer in the world. But there is no productivity of milch animals here. He said that a comprehensive program will be prepared to help dairy farmers. Also, efforts are already underway to control foot and mouth disease. The Finance Minister further said that India is the largest milk producing country in the world but the milk productivity of dairy animals in the country is low. This program will build on the successes of existing schemes like Rashtriya Gokul Mission, National Livestock Mission and Infrastructure Development Fund for Dairy Processing and Animal Husbandry.
Seafood exports doubled
Apart from this, the Finance Minister said regarding fisheries wealth that it was our government which understood the importance of helping the fishermen and established a separate fisheries department. Since then inland and aquatic agriculture production has doubled. Seafood exports have also doubled since 2013-14. Implementation of Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana will be promoted.
Help to 11.8 crore farmers
While presenting the budget, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that after the successful adoption of Nano Urea, Nano DAP will be used on various crops in all agro-climatic zones. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that government assistance has been given to 11.8 crore farmers. Funds are being transferred directly to crores of farmers through the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme. Food providers across the country are getting the benefits of PM Kisan Yojana. Also, the benefit of PM Fasal Yojana is being given to four crore farmers.
